What are your opening hours?

Is there a shuttle bus?
A.

You can use the shuttle buses from Hotel Universal Port (Universal Studios Japan) and OCAT (Osaka City Air Terminal) to Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower. For the shuttle bus schedule, please click the following link.

What kind of payment methods do you accept?
A.

You can pay by cash, credit card, Alipay, or WeChat Pay.
Credit cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, JCB, AMEX, Diners, Discover, UnionPay.
* The automatic payment machines do not accept Discover or UnionPay.

Are there any ATMs in the facility?
A.

There are none inside Solaniwa Onsen, but there are Kansai Mirai Bank ATMs on the 1st floor of Osaka Bay Tower East, and an ATM in the Family Mart Minato Benten ORC Branch on the 2nd floor of Osaka Bay Tower West.

Can I bring a stroller into Solaniwa Onsen?
A.

Strollers are not allowed in the facility to ensure that guests are barefoot. Please use the free lockable storage area.

Q.
Can I bring a wheelchair into Solaniwa Onsen?
A.

Yes. Solaniwa Onsen has wheelchairs available for use inside the facility. We also have wheelchair-friendly Family Baths (paid) available, so please feel free to take advantage of this service.

Is there anywhere I can leave my suitcase?
A.

Coin-operated lockers and an in-facility safekeeping service are available. (Requires a fee)

Q.
I have a tattoo. Can I still get into Solaniwa Onsen?
A.

As a general rule, we do not allow those with tattoos or other kinds of body art (Japanese irezumi, body painting, etc.) into our facility.
* However, in consideration of the recent societal demand and foreign cultures and customs, we have implemented a tattoo-concealling sticker system. If your tattoos are fully covered up by stickers sold by Solaniwa Onsen, you may enter our facility and use the baths.
*Effective December 1, 2023, there is no longer be a limit on the number of stickers.

Are unaccompanied minors allowed in?
A.

Parties consisting entirely of children under 13 will not be allowed entry. For parties consisting only of minors above that age,those under the age of 16 must check out by 7:00 pm, and those under 18 by 10:00 pm, as required by law.

Q.
What’s a “bathing tax”?
A.

The bathing tax is a tax levied on users of hot spring baths. It is set by the Osaka municipal government.
It is applied to adults whose entry fee is ¥1,501 or more. It is not applied to children who have yet to graduate elementary school or to the Morning Bath fee.

Do you supply shampoo, conditioner, and body soap?
A.

The main bathing area has shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, facial foam, skin lotion,and milky lotion. You can also use items you bring in yourself.

Are there any towels?
A.

We have bath towels and hand towels available for guests to use.

Q.
Tell me about the free amenities.
A.

Yukata robes (for wearing inside the facilities), bath towels, hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, cotton swabs, toothbrushes, combs, razors, lotion, emulsions, and cotton puffs (for women only) are available.

Q.
What size costumes/yukatas do you have?
A.

Men’s come in S, M, L, LL, 3L, 4L, and 5L, while women’s come in S, M, L, 2L, and 3LY.

Q.
I have an allergy. What should I do?
A.

Due to public regulations, we do not, as a general rule, allow food and drink from outside. However, those with food allergies or with infants who can only eat baby food shall be allowed to bring food in as an exceptional case.

Q.
Is there a smoking area?
A.

There are 2 smoking areas in Solaniwa Onsen.
One is beside Solaniwa Temple on the 2nd floor, and the other beside Uoshu-ya Fish Therapy on the 4th floor.
